Hiring Tasks: Shaped recruitment strategy and processes. Recruited active and passive candidates for common and niche job titles. Kept recruiting costs low during periods of rapid growth. Guided employees through new hire processes and ensured forms were completed timely.

Human Resources/Computer Lab Graduate Assistant – Center for Learning Resources

My role at the University of New Haven was a combination of HR, tutoring, and administrative work. I was hired in September 2011 as a the Junior Computer Lab Graduate Assistant, but my role eventually expanded to include more tasks related to human resources and psychology. During the summer of 2012, I stepped into the role of Senior Computer Lab Graduate Assistant. I was responsible for training the department in technology-related matters as well as mentoring the new Junior Computer Lab Graduate Assistant. Following my graduation, I returned to the CLR as a consultant in early 2013.
Human Resource Tasks: Reviewed hiring system and ensured it was in compliance with industry best practices. Created documents to assist interviewers without an HR background. Screened and interviewed candidates for administrative and tutoring positions. Used computer systems to recruit passive job seekers. Created training manual for AccuTrack® tutoring management system. Provided AccuTrack® training for approximately 70 employees. Reviewed and revised performance management system. Maintained applicant records per legal requirements.
